Well, I did pretty well in the Spring 2011 Semester. I took BUS320 which meant that for our final project we had to write up a business plan for a fictitious but possible new business. BUS320 at Maui College is all about Entrepreneurship and how to build a business and the planning involved from conception to grand opening. I also took ICS 385 Electronic Commerce. It was similar to BUS320 in that our final project there also stemmed around building your own business. However, in this class it was all about what is involved in giving that business a global presence by being on the internet. So in this class we had to build a website and make sure that it had all the more common things present such as information about the company, the people, the product, and of course the links to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. My last class in Spring 2011 was COM459 Intercultural Communication II - WI. This involved understanding different cultures that we might encounter while conducting business globally. It was more than just understanding the culture but accepting the differences that make other cultures unique.
That was my semester. Three courses, one online and two on campus. The two on campus classes were both three hour classes, one on Tuesday from 12:00pm to 3:00pm and the other on Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Spring 2011 semester was harder than most of my other semesters. I'm thinking that's because the work is getting harder and demands more time to complete. All three classes required a final project/presentation at the end. I think the hardest was trying to do group work. While I enjoyed working with everyone, it was hard to try and get everybody together and on the same page. I think Spring 2011 was my most difficult semesters so far.
